蕃薯芋花生包(Peanut Pao)

老公的姐姐们来游玩时,拜访这里的大姨是理所当然的行程。
大姨当然非常的开心,还特地找一天做了鸡肉派请她们吃。
我也跟着去凑热闹。
不但吃还厚着脸皮打包。
呵呵。。。大姨还给了一大堆的蕃薯芋,这可是意外惊喜。
说到这个蕃薯芋,我爸爸之前来时还提起很久都没有吃到这东西了。
如果爸爸还在这里,肯定会很意外和开心的。
这东西其实就是蕃薯和芋头接种吧?
不像蕃薯这么软身,但是又有像芋头般的松软口感。
只要蒸熟就很好吃了。
原本是乘大伙儿都在时,弄来吃的;但是太多东西要吃了,只好把蕃薯芋给担搁了。
现在面对着一大包的这东西,我只好自己啃咯。
拿来做几个花生包子,因为花生也是做satay celup 剩下的。
可能太久没有做包子了,又或许是那个馅料是我喜欢的吧?
觉得这包很好吃。就那个颜色好像太过火了。

Ingredients:

  • (A) 80g steam sweet potato (mashed)
  • (B) 250g plain flour, 3g instant yeast, 25g sugar
  • (C) 120ml water
  • (D) 1 cup roasted peanut, 1tbsp sesame seeds, 1tbsp sugar, 2tbsp peanut butter (mix well and set aside)
Method:
  1. Mix all ingredients (A) and (B) together.
  2. Add in (C) and knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Cover with a piece of wet cloth and set aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Divide dough into 12 portion; around 36g each.
  5. wrap in fillings and seal it tightly. Place on a baking paper and arrange into steaming tray.
  6. Prove for another 30 mins before steaming.
  7. Steam at moderate high fire for 12 mins. Allow a small gaps by lifting the lid after steaming for 5 mins. Turn off heat and let it sit undisturbed for another 3-5 minutes.

    1. FaithHopeLove, You can try frozen one from canning vale Indo-chinese groceries shop. Fresh one fr canning vale saturday morning market. But i think is end season now. anyway u can try ur luck.

  11. Hi, I tryed this recipe, the bau texture is very Q, nice to eat.
    May I know why the skin of the bau is not smooth? is it due to the fire to high? or is it due to sweet potato did not mash till very smooth, I only use the fork to mash it.
