Nasi komok aka Khao Mok Gai aka Nasi Beriani Siam

Best!

  12. Hi Jane
May I ask what is komok soup and where did you buy it? Can I not use basmati rice and use thai rice instead? Is this like nasi briani? We are not used to eating basmati rice, am afraid we can't finish it if I just buy it to make this rice dish.

    Thank you!

    1. Miss B, The komok soup is the spice soup base to make the komok rice. Coz I din used all the soup to cook rice so the balance of soup i add in tofu.
Ya, the rice is just like beriani. Anyway, you can used long grain rice if u wish to. I love basmati very much. It is nice to make nasi lemak. And it is healthy than jasmine :)

    2. Ah, now i understand. The komok soup base was what you cooked usng the mixed spices, coriander, lemongrass etc. Sorry I didn't read carefully before asking. Thanks for the explanation. I will try it soon. :)
