咖椰微波面包(Kaya Roll Bun)

昨天学校分回来成绩单;
当然没有第几名那种。
只是逐一报告孩子在学校的学习进度。
我们昨晚的话题就环绕在“成绩单”,今天下午的篮球半决赛和礼拜要去捉螃蟹;
偏偏却把今天一早儿子要去扬风帆的事情给忘得一干二净了。
也可能是星期六我很少“服务”孩子,所以也没注意提醒他。
结果当他今早突然想起时,已经太迟了,别人早就出发咯。
看着他伤心自己的失误,我也觉得亏欠。
但是往好一方面去想,这也是他从失误中学习更加小心处理自己事情的好机会。
妈妈总不能365天都充当他的私人秘书,凡事提醒,凡事帮忙代理。
经一事,长一智,就当是成长过程吧!
所幸的是,今天去不成,明天还可以去。
只是捉螃蟹就得牺牲了。
为他也很难取舍,但是总得在两者中作出选择。
生活中小小的插曲,发生时或许有点错愕,伤感。
但是回想时,你会发觉,其实也并不是什么坏事一件,
反而会觉得这些被认为“不好的事情”,
往往是你平凡生活中“精彩”的点缀。

前天做了这个很好吃也很出名的微波面包。
真的很好吃,而且直到今天早上剩下的3个小面包都还是软软的,
很棒的食谱,谢谢Siew Hwee的食谱。
材料方面我作了些更改,但是份量都一样。


Ingredients:

(A) 420g high protein flour, 8g instant yeast, 32g milk powder, 100g egg, 145g milk

(B) 70g high protein flour, 70g mixed grain flour, 80g brown sugar, 8g salt, 54g milk, 60g butter
(C) fillings: kaya

Method:
  1. Mix all ingredients (A) together and knead well to form a smooth dough. 
  2. cover with cling wrap damp cloth and leave to prove until double size. 
  3. Take out dough and tear into small pieces. 
  4. Add in ingredient (B) except butter and knead to form a smooth dough. Add in butter continue kneading until the dough is smooth, elastic and can stretch into thin sheet. 
  5. Rest for 20 minutes and divide into 30 small doughs and shape it into balls (You will get around 30 small doughs). Roll out dough into long rectangle shape. Spread some kaya on top and roll in tightly like swiss roll. 
  6. Arrange the dough into baking tray.
  7. Leave to prove for 50mins.
  8. Preheat oven at 170C. Egg wash bread and bake for 12-15 mins or til golden brown.

    1. sonia,this is good but too big portion. I separated into 2 tins. Small one i give to my sis in law. Ngam ngam for 2 families.
