彩虹纸包蛋糕 (Rainbow Paper Wrapped Cake)

 
最近这几个星期都有礼物收,惊喜连连。
先是Angie送我很多礼盒,都很美丽,很喜欢。
想到这么漂亮的礼盒要装好甜点送给人还有点舍不得。
再来是收到sonia送来的纸包蛋糕模,哇哈!我实在是很高兴。
因为我一直想买这个模很久了,可惜这里的价格实在太昂贵了,我很猫,不舍得买。
现在拥有了它,我当然第一时间就开张咯。
今天又有妹妹送来的礼物,很漂亮的餐布和 算换容量表的fridge magnet。
人是贪心的,于是我在想。。下个星期还会有礼物收吗?
哈哈。。。这就叫人心不足蛇吞象!
收到蛋糕模,我马上就做了这个蛋糕。
玩颜色好像也不是我的专长;搞到一塌糊涂的。
感觉上我还是踏实一点做那种死板的原味作品好了。
不过偶尔比较空闲,我的心还是很大的,想尝尝不同的花样。
不过这个纸包蛋糕说实在的还是“普通”就好。
这样才有古早的样子和味道。
食谱参考这里

Ingredients:
  • (A) 8 egg yolk, 6 egg white, 120g sugar, 1 tbsp emulsifier
  • (B) 140g low protein flour, 10g corn flour, 1 tsp baking powder
  • (C) 150g melted margarine
  • a few drops of pink, yellow and green colour
  • wax paper line cups

Method:
  1. Put (A) into a mixing bowl. Beat on high speed for 8mins or until light and fluffy and you are able to write an "8" on the batter, it won't sink in but will appear visible for a while. 
  2. Add in (B) sifted flour, baking powder and corn flour and continue to whisk on low speed for another one or two minutes until well  combined.
  3. Add in melted butter and mix in thoroughly.
  4. divide batter into 3 portions and add each with one colour. 
  5. Line moulds with waxed paper. Pour batter into the lined cups abt 3/4 full and bake it in a preheated oven at 180C for about 20 mins. 
  6. When done, remove the cake from the cup immediately and leave it on wire rack to cool.
**the original recipe calls for 150g sugar but i reduced it to 120g. The cakes turn out a bit oily so you might reduce the melted margarine if you wish to.

  3. 在pantry magic 看到很多很美的kitchen towel 忍不住就买了几条回来,走出店门还又跑回去再买多两条哈哈。。。看到那个粉红玫瑰很country home 的感觉,你一定ngam,所以就买了给你。
    这个蛋糕很松软,适合喝午茶。无奈你我都大忙,一直都没法见到面。

    1. teckbaked, tasteless? Just like normal taro taste lo. of course if raw then taste nothing. But steamed already should taste like yam. haha... i really dont know how to describe.

  9. Thanks Jane, I know the taste of taro. The purple taro I bought are from Vietnam, it taste like nothing and a bit prickly texture even after I steamed them, throw it out, dare not use on anything to prevent wastage, anyway, thanks for your help.
