俄式蜂蜜蛋糕 Honey Cake (Medovik)

话说,有一天来到一间德国咖啡馆;
朋友介绍说试试他们的蜂蜜蛋糕,很不错一下。
一下才。。。?
不试还好,试了之后觉得那个“一下”实在亏欠了它很多。
第一次就很喜欢很喜欢。
小小薄薄的一片蛋糕叫价6澳币,我还是要心甘情愿的付出。
后来在一些周末早市会偶尔会看到有人在卖,价钱也不便宜。
心里一直一直很想做这蛋糕;
上网看了几遍,才知道这蛋糕源自于俄罗斯。
材料买了几回,最好还是没有勇气战斗。
最近又想起这蛋糕,觉得自己这阵子很也少上贴子,
干脆就花点心思把这个给成了,也好上来报到。
就这样,上网找食谱,一个字一个字翻译,最后终于出炉了。
看着蛋糕在冰箱里,想吃也忍着。。。
终于过了一天一夜,刚巧朋友过来吃饭;
这个就成了饭后甜点。
不能算是很成功,因为比起来,我的厚了点。
但是也很好吃了;至少不会干巴巴的。
下次再做,肯定要把它做薄薄的,这样就有多多层了。

Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs 
  • 200g sugar 
  • 60g honey 
  • 70g butter
  • 550g plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda 
Filling: 

  • 1 litre sour cream or thick crème fraîche 
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
Method:


  1. Mix sourcream with vanilla sugar. Set aside in the fridge until ready to use.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until creamy and fluffy. 
  3. Melt honey and butter in the microwave. Set aside to cool down.
  4. Pour (3)  to the egg mixture, mixing everything together. Add soda and mix again. 
  5. Add the flour in batches, stirring well until you get a thick but soft dough.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Divide the dough into 3 parts.  Spread each portion of the dough thinly in the pan lined with baking paper. Bake each layer for about 8 mins.
  7. Cool the cake completely and cut into 3 sections. This way you will get 9 rectangular pieces. Trim the sides of the cake evenly. ( Crumble the unwanted side of cake into fine pieces).
  8. Spread sour cream between each layer of cake.
  9. For the top of the cake, spread a thin layer of sour cream and Crumble the unwanted side of cake into fine pieces and sprinkle on top of it.
  10. Set aside for 5 minutes and wrap the cake tightly in a large aluminium foil and store in fridge for a day so that the cream moistens the cake.

    Could your clarify item (4) Pour (2) to the egg mixture, mixing everything together. Add soda and mix again. I thought (2) is already the egg mixture?
