Rice Crisp Slice

Kids normally bring fruits and muesli/cereal bars to school for their recess.

As requested by Micheal, we together tried out this super easy recipe from newspaper.

No baking needed! Really easy to make and ideal if you want to get the kids involved.

Imagine the crispy rice bubbles bound by a rich, slightly chewy, marshmallows mixture.
I hope it works out for all and u'll will love these as much as we do!

Ingredients:
  • 150g mashmallows
  • 25g butter
  • 3 1/2 cups puffed ricebubbles/cereal
  • 1/3 cup cranberries
Method:
  1. Line a loaf tin 10 x 20cm tin with baking paper.
  2. Gently heat the marshmallows and butter in a heavy-based saucepan until they are melted.
  3. Stir through the mixture onto the rice bubbles and cranberries.
  4. Mix well until everything are well coated.
  5. Pour cereal into prepared tray and press down evenly. ( I place another piece of baking paper on top and firmly sweep hands across to create an even surface).
  6. Place tray in the fridge for an hour to set then remove and lift out of tray and cut into bars, squares or triangles.
